I have tried freehand grinding and found it adequate, however the Model 5005 is by far a better way to sharpen my lawnmower blades. A definite “thumbs up” to bruceshark. Five stars and maybe more. Bob Wilson, Langley. British Columbia

Haven't fitted them yet, as the "no instructions neccessary" doesn't apply to non-mechanics! But I've got as far as getting the old ones off and these look like they're going to be fine. So long as they work I'll be a happy customer!
