On arrival I charged the battery and inserted the charged battery and the unit did not work, tried another charged battery and discovered the Laser is faulty and does not function.

This thing looks like something out of Star Wars. At night it shown a clear beam into the sky that I can only assume is visible for anyone within miles. I pointed it toward targets 1/3 mile and it left a clear dot on that target.Very cool. This would be good if you get lost in the woods at night or forSearch and Rescue teams trying to tell the helicopter where they are at night. A laser beacon.
