I needed this for a fan I'm adding for a fridge in our van, to move away excess heat. The existing system is 12 volt, and the new fan is 5 volts. Oops.This is perfect for giving me the voltage I needed without having to deal with a bunch of other stuff. Just add it inline and go.After seeing some of the reviews on other items, I figured I should text the output voltage before hooking it up. 5.07 volts when attached to my 12 volt power supply. That's well within tolerance. 👍
I use this to reduce 24v to 12v from my solar setup so I can setup my temperature controller module which require 12v only.
