Saved thousands after having my GL320 evaluated at my Mercedes dealership! After removing my transfer case, it was easy to replace the old "stretched" chain. The truck is running perfectly again!

The replacement was trivial just remove the rear diff and move it out of the way, remove the twelve Torx bolts for the transfer case (plus bracket and sensor), pry off the transfer case cover by applying force at the designated points on the L and R sides of the case, remove the old chain and put in the new, clean and reapply new Permatex 81182 gasket maker, tighten up the case, fill with ATF, and reattach the diff with the recommended torque sequence.

My son is a technician at Mercedes and loves the quality of vipih products. Just installed the chain and it is much tighter than it was originally stretched. It fits and is properly tight, i.e. it is the correct size. Good looking product, it's been a week and it hasn't failed!
