Thoroughly Suprised!

Most of the reviews were pretty good for Proyama. I went with the 20”-24” package, and it definitely does not disappoint. The directions aren't great, but it's a chainsaw – pretty basic and standard to assemble or use. I definitely recommend it if you want a good chainsaw at a good price. Longevity I can't speak to, having had it less than a week, but it seems pretty well made.

i am impressed!

I am impressed! I've run brand names for many years and cut very large trees of all kinds. This saw starts super easy and runs great. I ran 7 tanks on some very large hard maple and some red oak, and it did just fine non-stop except to fill. The stock chain did fine – I touched it up before I ever started and set the guides my way, and it ran like butter on it all. I didn't have any dirt to deal with, so the chain stayed sharp. I then put an 8ten chain on, and it ran just the same, no issues at all. The only issue I had was the rubber gasket under the fuel cap – it swelled, wrong rubber – but Proyama sent out new caps with O-rings, and I haven't had any leaks. They are very open to input to improve anything and assured me that if I have any issues, they will make it right. Very good response from the seller. I am now running this at 40:1, and it is doing just fine. I run used motor oil for the bar, no issues. I have run used motor oil in my saws for bar oil for over 20 years, and it works great. This saw is a good one!

Quick response from Proyama

I bought the 20-inch chainsaw. I watched a video on the assembly of the Proyama saw, and when I received my 20" saw, the paper gasket going between the bar and power head was missing. I contacted Proyama, and they responded quickly with a video showing the 20" saw doesn't use the paper gasket. I put gas and oil in the saw – two pulls, it burped, two more pulls, and it started right up. Looking forward to using it.

Very Capable Saw

This is a very capable saw. I have used it to cut down and cut up at least 15 decent-sized oak trees. It has been flawless. It may not be as durable as some of the bigger named saws, but with some care, it should last. It is a beast.

Great cutting little saw

Assembled with no problems, started right up, and is a dandy cutting little saw. After break-in and resetting the carb, I have no doubts this will be a fantastic saw and a lot lighter for limbing than my MS271 Stihl.
